Social Responsibility
Link Financial

At Link we believe that our responsibility to the community is not limited to the way that we treat our customers and employees. We strive to ensure that our culture of integrity, respect and compliance extends to our interaction with the environments outside
of our offices.

Every day, our staff deal with thousands of individuals who are in financial difficulty. The impact of over-borrowing combined with poor management of personal finances or sudden change in circumstances is having a profoundly damaging and distressing effect on the lives of significant minority of our society. Since its early days, Link has been a major donor to the UK’s leading debt management charity, StepChange (formerly known as the CCCS).

In January 2013, we announced a new three year partnership with The Money Charity to deliver financial education in schools around the UK. The Money Charity is the UK’s national money education charity, established in 1994. It works nationally promoting better thinking about money with a particular emphasis on those vulnerable to financial difficulties.

The Link Financial sponsorship package of circa £70,000 will support the expansion of The Money Charity's  financial education workshops to 11-19 year olds across England, Wales and Northern Ireland.

Outside of consumer and financial concerns, as a company we like to make regular donations to charities for a variety of causes which are important to our people ranging from a city farm to local hospices. We also like to have fun and love a challenge. In the very wet summer of 2012, a hardy team of Link’s managers, successfully completed the Oxfam Trailwalker, a 100km day and night trudge over the South Downs.

Our Caerphilly office backs the Comic Relief fundraising effort by giving their time in the call centre to take donations from generous members of the British public and having a great evening in the process.
